We engineer reliable makeup water treatment that matches local source quality and business risk. This includes source evaluation, pretreatment selection, ultrafiltration and reverse osmosis design, softening and scale control, corrosion control, and automated monitoring and control tuned to your site standards. Our designs prioritize availability, redundancy, maintainability, and safe operations so your water use effectiveness improves without compromising uptime.

Purpose integrates water reuse to reduce withdrawals and discharge. We evaluate and implement reuse of cooling tower blowdown and process wastewater, consider Minimum Liquid Discharge (MLD) and Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) where appropriate, and right size brine management and concentrate handling. Treatment trains are optimized using life cycle cost analysis (LCCA) and life cycle assessment (LCA) to balance capital and operating cost with sustainability and ESG objectives.

We manage permits for industrial discharge and stormwater, develop Legionella risk management plans for evaporative systems, and coordinate with utilities and local authorities. Where PFAS or other emerging contaminants are a concern, we assess risk, screening needs, and practical mitigation strategies that meet current regulations while remaining adaptable.

For both greenfield and retrofit programs, Purpose delivers owner’s engineer services, basis of design, 30/60/90/100 percent design packages, procurement support, factory acceptance testing, site commissioning, and performance testing. We can design modular and scalable systems that align with phased IT loads and changing cooling strategies, with controls ready for SCADA integration, digital twins, and automated fleet reporting.

Operations support can continue after turnover. We provide operator training, SOPs, start up guides, remote performance reviews, and troubleshooting to reduce chemical use, limit scaling and biofouling, and extend asset life.
